Prediabetes: Small Changes That Can Matter

Prediabetes means blood glucose levels are higher than normal but not yet in the diabetes range. It can be an important opportunity to act early.

Start with meals you can repeat

Build meals around fiber-rich vegetables, a source of protein, healthy fats, and a reasonable portion of carbohydrate. The goal is not perfection—it is consistency.

Move after meals

Regular physical activity can support insulin sensitivity. Even short bouts of walking can help build a more active day when they are repeated consistently.

Sleep and stress count too

Sleep, chronic stress, and daily routines can influence appetite, energy, and blood glucose regulation. A prevention plan works best when it looks at the whole person.
